Our company's most high-profile project of 2015 was the redesign of our consumer app. I worked closely with UX and visual designers to rewrite the entire app using our new voice and tone. The voice allows us to express the human, authentic, radiant, and inclusive lifestyle that we all seek to live at MINDBODY.
My team had the honor of announcing our new partnership with Google. I worked with research to make sure the message provided our users with clear and relevant details about the offering while delighting them with a new opportunity for growth.
VOICE AND TONE GUIDE
I lead the creation of our company's voice and tone guide. It defines how we use our voice to create positive experiences for our customers. The voice is based on our company core values and emphasizes the importance of empathy in every interaction.
UNDER ARMOUR PARTNERSHIP
As the lead writer for our paid marketing program, I work closely with the research team to strategize and write content that encourages our customers to join by focusing on the value it provides to their business. For this part of the program, I wrote content that appeared in a lightbox when users navigated to the management area of their software during specific times of the day.
STRENGTHEN YOUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS
Through research, we discovered that small businesses in the wellness industry are hesitant to be competitive because they might be competing against friends in their tight-knit community. I interviewed subscribers and identified ways they had utilized their community to advance their business.

As part of our paid marketing program, we designed a new dashboard that allows users to keep an eye on their customer activity.

After writing various in-product messages to encourage our subscribers to join our new paid marketing program, I wanted to provide additional support for those who were unsure how to present themselves in this new venue. This article walks users through how to put their best foot forward when appearing in a mobile marketplace.

MINDBODY EXPRESS APP
Our company is working toward a full redesign of our mobile business app. The first step was to redesign the client profile experience. I attended weekly design reviews and worked with research to implement copy that was intuitive and clear.
I worked with our design team to create an in-product experience for users who want to connect their Xero accounting software to their MINDBODY site.
My experience as a Pilates instructor taught me skills that go far beyond the studio. I learned the importance of active breathing as a tool for stress relief. This was my first blog for MINDBODY and I was proud to use knowledge from my diverse background to provide value to our consumers.
My friend, Doug, reached out to me about a company he was starting called MyTap. He asked if I could assist him with adding a hook to his website and making it pop for their upcoming release. I wrote and edited all of the copy on the original website which has now been transitioned over to a new company called WhichCraft.
MYTAP: FROM ID TO ITUNES
After working with Doug on his website, I interviewed him to gather content for a blog post to help promote his business prior to the app release. The blog post was published through his alma mater, IIT Institute of Design in Chicago.
